History:

Davidson and Jones was formed as a custom home builder in 1918 by James A. Davidson. Mr. Davidson was joined by his nephew Seby B. Jones in the mid-1930s and together they formed a partnership which eventually became on of the most accomplished contracting and development companies in the Southeastern United States.

As a construction company, Davidson and Jones has built many of the most beautiful homes in all of Raleigh. Davidson and Jones has also built over one hundred and twenty five churches of many denominations, a number of public schools, government buildings, office parks, warehouses, manufacturing plants, hospitals, shopping malls, hotels, and countless other projects.

As a development company, Davidson and Jones has created some of the most well-known and successful developments in the Research Triangle region (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, North Carolina). Some of these developments include Crabtree Valley Mall and Highwoods Office Park in Raleigh as well as The Imperial Center in Research Triangle Park which includes the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Conference Center. The foresight and vision of Davidson and Jones is demonstrated by the fact that both areas, Crabtree Valley and the Imperial Center, remain central to the future growth of the Triangle area.
